To take inspiration from Seamus Finnigan, 'Dad's Mizo, Mam's part Khasi, wasn't a bit of a nasty shock when he found out.' Born in Aizawl, raised in Shillong and settled in Delhi. My reading journey, I suppose, began like everyone else’s- Enid Blyton, who in the literary world is the genesis to self-reading. The inclination to continue lead me down a path that my later, though now also a past, superior self who only read even more 'superior' literature or classics wished never existed. (In my defence it was the early 2010’s, that says more than enough, I was as much a victim to popular demands and choices as I was influenced and a carrier of them.)

I, delightfully!, moved on from romantic tragedies and love, love, love. The thing is, by & in your 20s life has hit you with enough experiences that tones down fiery adolescent impressions. Now the evolved and enlightened reader in me… reads only for ‘education’ and for fun.

Most of the books I’ve read have come at the recommendation of someone I know, or strangers who have shared their thoughts on one and many.

I owe my joy of reading to them.
